For years, the design endeavours of ekm architecture have extended beyond the traditional scope of architecture—from designing custom prototypes and furniture for our clients to pushing the envelope on sustainability, material explorations, and building techniques; from investigating new technologies in both practice and construction to developing graphic design and social media strategies. The mandate of ekm LAB is to bring these long time preoccupations of the firm together into one laboratory/think tank specifically focused on innovation.
